Japanese startup created a “clever” face mask

Japanese startup Donut Robotics has developed an internet-connected “smart mask,” writes Reuters.

The mask is connected to the internet through Bluetooth and can transmit messages and translate from Japanese into eight other languages.

Developers worked for years to develop a robot and used that technology to create a product that responds to how the coronavirus has reshaped society

The company engineers created the mask prototype in one month. The first five thousand masks will be sold in Japan starting from September. Its price is 40 USD. The company CEO plans to sell the masks in Europe and the USA in the future.
