Matthias Hauer, the Deputy of the German Chancellor Angela Merkel's Christian Democratic Union of Germany collapsed during a speech at the Bundestag.
The sitting was suspended.
Hauser is currently hospitalized. Doctors say his condition is stable and his life is not in danger.
After the incident, the Bundestag resumed work.
