Mold fungi kills coronavirus

Scientists have discovered a killer substance of the coronavirus in mold. The experiment showed that fungi of the Aspergillus class of molds stop the multiplication and functioning of SARS-CoV-2 and can block the spread of the virus in the human body.

Experts suggest that it is possible to create a unique drug from mold that will work effectively against the spread of the virus and be less toxic than existing drugs.

Science says this hypothesis still needs to be tested. The experiment on all types of mold fungi will take about two years.
