More than 2 billion vaccines given worldwide

The number of vaccines given reaches 2,002,917,476 worldwide, the Guardian reports, citing Johns Hopkins University.

Israel maintains the leading positions in terms of vaccinations. Nearly 6 million out of10 have undergone an entire course of the vaccination.

Israel is followed by Canada (59% of the population has received at least one dose), the United Kingdom (58.3%), Chile (56.6%), and the United States (51%).

Six of the ten injections were made in the three most populous countries in the world - China (704.8 million doses), the United States (296.9 million), and India (221 million).

Six countries have not yet started vaccination. These include North Korea, Haiti, Tanzania, Chad, Burundi, and Eritrea.
