A volcano erupted on Mount Etna on the island of Sicily, Italy. The ash rose to a height of more than 1 kilometers and formed a large cloud. Parts of the rock fell on four village buildings.
No casualties were reported.
Volcanic ash has covered the streets of Catania, and the local airport stopped working.
