New species of invertebrate named after Greta Thunberg

Swedish scientists have discovered new species of Tardigrade in the Biosphere Reserve in the town of Kristianstad, the south of the country. One of them was named after a famous activist, Greta Thunberg.

It is known that the species was named after her for Greta Thunberg's courageous efforts and the need for world leaders to fight climate change.

In honor of the Swedish activist, a new spider in Madagascar, a snail on the island of Borneo, and a beetle in Kenya got named after Greta.
