The Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs has refrained from commenting about a possible meeting between the presidents of Russia and the United States in the country, the official representative of the Swiss Foreign Ministry, Pierre-Alain Eltschinger, cleared up the issue.
He was asked to confirm the information of the newspaper "Commersant" that the meeting of the US and Russian presidents is expected to take place in Switzerland.
"We are not commenting on this article," Eltschinger said.
Today the Russian media reported that the meeting between the US and Russian Presidents, Joe Biden and Vladimir Putin, is expected to occur in Switzerland.
