No confidence declared to Mayor of Yerevan

The Yerevan City Council has declared a vote of no confidence to the mayor, Hayk Marutian. According to Report.ge, the information is spread by the Armenian media.

Marutian was accused of "insufficiently" managing city affairs and passed a resolution by 44 votes to 10 calling for his resignation.

Marutian himself criticizes Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's ruling team and says he has deviated from the goals of the revolution.

"I thought that a revolutionary’s supreme goal must be to improve the lives of other people. In reality, as soon as they came to power, they started improving their own lives," Marutian said.
