According to the Iranian Health Ministry's spokesman Kianoush Jahanpour, the number of infected people in the country increased by 1606 in one day.
He said a total of 77,995 people got diagnosed with the new coronavirus infection, while 4869 patients died. COVID-19 killed 92 people during the last 24 hours, while 52,229 patients recovered.
