With the new strain of coronavirus, the number of people infected with "Omicron" doubles every 2-3 days. According to Report.ge, this was stated by the Special Representative of the World Health Organization, David Nunes Nabarro.
Nabarro did not rule out an increase in coronavirus mortality in this regard, noting that "the problem will become serious in the near future."
The World Health Organization believes that a higher rate of spread of the omicron strain compared to other variants of the coronavirus will increase the number of hospitalizations and overcrowding of medical staff and health care systems.
