Oscars 2021 date might move

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced that it is considering postponing the 93rd Academy Awards. It was supposed to take place in February of 2021. The Variety magazine spreads information about the possible changes.

At the end of April, the organizers announced that the rules for selecting nominees would change due to the coronavirus pandemic. In 2021, for the first time in the film industry, the Oscars will nominate the films that have not premiered in the cinemas.

This requirement will remain in effect until cinemas reopen.
