People at risk of COVID-19 relapse

Reinfection with COVID-19 threatens individuals over 65, the journal Lancet publishes the study.

The study found that the level of protection against reinfection in patients who had been exposed to COVID-19 was at 80.5%. At the same time, in patients over 65, this figure is at 47.1%.

On March 17, Soumya Swaminathan, a senior researcher at the World Health Organization, said that reinfection with new strains of COVID-19 was being recorded. She was talking about the relapses when patients have already had antibodies to the virus.
