Portugal opens its beaches

The government of Portugal decided to open the country beaches closed on March 18 in the prevention of coronavirus spread, Reuters writes.

After a six-month state of emergency, the country is lifting restrictions step-by-step.

The beaches were planned to open starting from June 6, but the government has jumpstarted the process of lifting.

Portugal faces 30,471 cases of COVID-infected patients; the death toll is 1,302.
