Powerful earthquakes hit China

On May 21, at least two people were killed and nine others were injured in debris, following the 6.4-magnitude earthquake in Yangbi Yi Autonomous County in southwest China's Yunnan Province and 7.4-magnitude earthquake in Qinghai province. 

A team of firefighters was deployed to the quake's epicenter, with a search and rescue plan already underway.

The local government evacuated 20,000 people.
