The State Duma of the Russian Federation starts its visit to Iran on Monday. The legislative delegation to attend the second meeting of Russia-Iran Parliamentary Cooperation Committee.
The delegation to be headed by the Chairman of Russian Federation Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin.
Volodin plans meeting with the Iranian Parliament speaker, Ali Larjin.
The first Russian-Irani Parliamentary Cooperation meeting took place in September 2018, in the Russian city of Volgograd. Russian and Irani parliament members initiated the creation of the Committee. The Committee was to contribute to the cooperation between Russian and Irani Parliaments’ relations.
In June 2019 the Irani delegation consisting of the members of the National Security and Foreign Politics Committee of Iran visited Russia to participate in the Second International Forum of Parliamentarism Development.
