Russia sees the settlement of the conflict on the border between Azerbaijan and Armenia as the beginning of the border delimitation process, with its further demarcation. The Russian Foreign Ministry releases a statement about the issue.
"All incidents like this one should be resolved only through peaceful means, through negotiations. As a long-term solution, we see the beginning of the process of delimitation of the Azerbaijani-Armenian border, with its subsequent demarcation. Russia is ready to contribute to the further normalization of the situation in the South Caucasus," the statement said.
The Russian Foreign Ministry noted that Russia closely monitors the situation on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border and maintains operational ties through military and border services.
