Scientists discover previously unknown animals in Antarctica

On the west coast of Antarctica, scientists have discovered strange creatures that inhabit the seabed. The information is published in the scientific journal Frontiers in Marine Science.

According to scientists, in appearance, these creatures look like sea clouds.

"Our discovery raises more questions than answers," said study lead biogeographer Hugh Griffiths.

The article notes that scientists hope to understand how these animals got under the ice cover in further research; how long ago? What will happen to them if the continental shelf falls apart?
