The storm kills three people in Greece

Three people died after a strong storm in the central part of Greece, writes Reuters.

Reportedly, it swept through central Greece, hitting the city of Karditsa and destroying around 5000 houses.

The storm uprooted trees and caused power cuts on the Ionian islands and the western Peloponnese. Today it reached Attika.

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, who is expected to visit the region in the coming days, said the government would provide economic relief to the affected areas.
