Turkey calls on Alliance member states to admit Georgia and Ukraine to NATO

Turkey calls on NATO member states to admit Georgia and Ukraine to NATO.

As Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said at the Warsaw Security Forum today, NATO should support not only the territorial integrity of Ukraine and Georgia but also the desire of the two countries to join the alliance.

"Of course, we need to continue to support two Black Sea countries - Ukraine and Georgia. Poland and Turkey are, unfortunately, among the few countries in NATO that raise this issue at every ministerial meeting and summit," said Çavuşoğlu.
