Turkey to ease quarantine restrictions from July 1

"The country continues to ease restrictions set regarding the spread of the coronavirus," Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated, Hurriyet daily news reports.

He said that from July 1, lockdown will be removed, which operated on weekends, and the curfew will no longer operate on weekdays.

Institutions and organizations will return to normal work from July 1. Restrictions on intercity and municipal transport will be lifted in July.

Erdoğan called on the population to get vaccinated against coronavirus.

"Today, we have 43 million doses of the vaccine," he said.
