Two earthquakes hit Iceland

An earthquake of magnitude 5.5 hit Iceland, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center reports.

The epicenter was 27 km northeast of Reykjavik.

The US Geological Survey estimated the magnitude of the earthquake at 5.3 points.

Simultaneously, a repeated earthquake with a magnitude of 4.5 was detected in the region.
