Uluru Rock closed to tourists

Australian authorities have shut down Uluru also known as Ayers rock for tourists forever.

Information about restrictions was first announced in 2017. The request was addressed to the Government by locals who consider it a sacred place.

The illegal infiltration of Uluru will result in a fine of $ 10,000. Patrols will guard the surrounding area.

Uluru is located in central Australia, in the southern part of the Northern Territory.

Uluru is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
