Tourists will be compensated 3000 USD, in case they contract coronavirus while traveling in the country, local media informs.
The government decision considers the implementation of sanitation and epidemiological safety systems – “Uzbekistan – safe travel is guaranteed.” In the framework of the program, the safe tourism fund will be created. Tour-operators and hotels will get special certificates; these businesses will not be allowed to operate without them.
Reportedly, the practice of this kind is widely spread in the world. Tour-operators are permitted to provide services for foreign tourists in the quarantine period if they are registered in the register.
