Vaccination starts in Turkey today

Vaccination of the population with the Chinese vaccine starts in Turkey from today. Turkish Health Minister Fahrettin Koca received a Chinese-made vaccine СoronaVac, owned by SinoVac while being live.

Earlier, the minister said that the Turkish authorities had approved an emergency authorization for the SinoVac vaccine. Vaccination of Turkish doctors will start today.

"Vaccination is necessary to return to a normal lifestyle," the Turkish Health Minister said.

Turkey hopes to receive 50 million doses of the Chinese vaccine by the end of February. It is also reported that the Turkish government plans to purchase a 4.5 million dose of Pfizer. In addition, Turkey intends to buy a vaccine made in Russia.
