Michael Anthony McFaul, a US diplomat who served as the United States Ambassador to Russia from 2012 to 2014 says that both Georgias – the state and the country are experiencing democratic backsliding.
He released his statement via Twitter.
‘’Today, we now have democratic backsliding in both Georgias (the state and the country). Biden's agenda for democratic renewal, at home and abroad, is becoming increasingly challenging,“ he said in his Twitter post.
