WHO releases statement concerning COVID-19 infection

"Many countries have shown that COVID-19 can be controlled without a vaccine," World Health Organization head Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus stated.

He stressed that even after receiving the vaccine, testing would continue.

"More than half of all coronavirus deaths occur in the United States, Brazil, India, and Mexico," Gebreyesus claimed.

He emphasized the importance of physical activity during the coronavirus pandemic.

"Physical activity is essential for physical and mental health throughout life," Ghebreyesus stated.

The WHO recommends a minimum of 150-300 minutes of moderate to vigorous aerobic activity weekly for adults.

WHO statistics show that every fourth adult and four out of five adolescents are not physically active.

"Many restrictions have followed the pandemic, but despite this, all people can remain physically active at home," - the WHO head reported.
