World's most expensive postage stamp sold at auction

The British company Stanley Gibbons, the world's oldest philatelic dealer, bought the postage stamp "British Guiana" at Sotheby's auction.

The value was $ 8.3 million, making the postage stamp the most expensive in the world, Morningstar writes.

The postage stamp, whose denomination is one cent, will be on display at the Stanley Gibbons flagship store in central London.

"British Guinea" was published in 1856.
