WSJ: Germany may impose sanctions on Russia over Khangoshvili's death

German Prosecutor's Office will investigate the murder of Georgian citizen Zelimkhan Khangoshvili. German federal prosecutors believe Russian intelligence was involved in the killing of Khangoshvili in Berlin. The Wall Street Journal released the information.

Georgian citizen Zelimkhan Khargoshvili has proven to be murdered by Vadim Krasikov, with his identity having been determined through journalistic investigation.

The case is expected to be handled to the federal prosecutor today.

If the connection with the Russian government is confirmed, Germany will respond by diplomatic or other sanctions.

40-years-old Zelimkhan Khangoshvili, was shot twice in the head in a central Berlin park on August 23, while he was heading to a mosque.
