Employees of the Gldani-Nadzaladevi Main Division of the Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operative and investigative actions, arrested V.G., born in 1990, in Tbilisi on charges of intentional grievous bodily harm.
The offense carries a maximum sentence of 3 to 6 years in prison.
As reprot.ge was informed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the investigation established that the accused stabbed G.M., born in 2000, on the ground of a dispute, in Gldani, with a cold weapon and fled the scene.
The wounded man was taken to the hospital, where appropriate medical care was provided. Law enforcement officers arrested the accused within hours of the incident. Police seized the weapon of the crime - a knife as evidence. The investigation is underway under Article 117, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which stipulates serious intentional damage to health.
