Dodo Gugeshashvili thinks that his son's alleged murderer is a perpetrator of the crime rather than a person who hired his killer. In her words, she has always known that a special forces team member shot her son; however, she cannot confirm that the arrestee is former lieutenant Zaza Murjikneli.
Gugeshashvili said that this name does not ring the bell, but she places her trust in investigators.
Mrs. Gugeshashvili intends to meet with the representatives of the Interior Ministry, together with her lawyer, to be provided with further case-related details.
The murder case of Dodo Gogeshashvili's son has been solved, according to the MIA, with the detainee facing homicide and attempted homicide charges. Investigators learned that on 7 February 2018, an individual broke into Dodo Gugeshashvili's flat and shot her and her son, Grigol Gugeshashvili, who died on the spot. Wounded Dodo Gugeshashvili was hospitalized and provided with due medical assistance.
