A minibus driver died after a fight in the village of Chikhari, Lentekhi district. The 47-year-old man was from Zestaponi and, according to the neighbors, was working on the Zestaponi-Lentekhi route.
According to the locals, money was systematically extorted from him. However, he could not pay during his last departure, due to which he was physically assaulted.
It turns out that the locals beat a 47-year-old Robizon Tutarashvili while he was in Lentekhi. On the day of the incident, he visited one of the families when the phone called, and he was forced to leave the house. He was fatally wounded in the head and abandoned.
Locals rushed him to the clinic, but he could not be saved.
An investigation has been launched under Article 117, which stipulates intentional grievous bodily harm. According to the family of the deceased, two people have been arrested.
