Two foreign citizens were detained on suspicion of money counterfeiting. Report.ge was informed by the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance.
The investigation revealed that the defendants imported 20 counterfeited 500 Euros worth of cash in Kvemo Kartli. As a result of the investigations, cash of EUR 10 000 was seized.
Investigation is in progress under the second part of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Georgia and is punishable by imprisonment for the term of 7 to 10 years.
