In the village of Gamarjveba, Dedoplistskaro municipality, Giorgi Chincharauli, a Georgian Dream supported and member of the Assembly, has stabbed fellow villagers after an alleged verbal altercation. Two of them have suffered wounds in their chests and abdomen, with two brothers also been wounded.
Witnesses say that Giorgi Chincharauli did not attempt to flee the crime scene. He was detained on the spot; the crime weapon has also been retrieved.
The investigation into the case has been launched under Article 117, envisaging deliberate crimes. Perpetrators of similar offenses face a jail sentence of 7 to 13 years.
