An investigation has been launched into the attack on the chairperson of the United National Movement and Tbilisi mayoral candidate Nika Melia.
As report.ge was informed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the investigation into the case was launched under the article of violence.
"Employees of the Main Investigation Division of the Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs launched an investigation into the incident in Isani 62nd polling station under the first part of Article 162 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which refers to the violence committed in the vicinity of the polling station," the MIA said.
