Officers of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance arrested two persons on the fact of fraudulent misappropriation of state property.
The investigation revealed that the defendants, together with accomplices, illegally registered 3 460 square meter land in Chiatura municipality with the false documents. Officers of the Investigation Service seized the property dated in 1998. Appropriate measures are underway to identify other persons involved in the crime.
The investigation is in progress under the second part of Article 180 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages from 4 to 7 years of imprisonment.
