Four facts of illegal entrepreneurial activity were revealed as a result of operative-investigative measures carried out by the employees of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia. Five persons were criminally prosecuted in the mentioned case.
"The investigation has established that the accused, in the pharmacies owned by them in different districts of Tbilisi and Rustavi, in violation of the license conditions, sold psychotropic drugs to individuals without a prescription, thus facilitating the so-called pharmacy drug addiction.
As a result of this action, the defendants received a large amount of income, and without any regulation and permission, psychotropic and special control drugs worth about GEL 850,000 entered the civil turnover," the agency revealed.
The investigation is underway under the first and second parts of Article 192 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment for 3 to 5 years.
