Murder has been reportedly committed in the Sagarejo municipality, the Kakheti region. According to the MIA, the perpetrator, known only as Kh.Kh. (DOB 1982), was apprehended shortly after the commission of the crime.
The motive of the crime proves to be revenge. Kh.Kh. shot the victim, identified only as I.Kh.(DOB 1984), to death at a farm in Sagarejo. Law enforcement officers retrieved the hunting rifle with which the murder was committed.
The offender has pleaded guilty and is now facing from seven to 15 years in jail. The investigation is in progress under Article 108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
