A man has reportedly assaulted his ex-wife in a Carrefour store in the Gldani district and stabbed her.
The police detained the offender, identified only as A.G. (DOB 1976), shortly after the perpetration of the crime. According to the MIA, the man failed to comply with the restraining order by visiting his ex-spouse, known only as T.P. (DOB 1983), in her workplace in the Gldani district. He assaulted the victim and inflicted a stab wound in her neck with a stationary knife. The woman's life is not under threat now. The offender was detained, with the knife retrieved as evidence.
The man faces 13-17 years in prison.
