In one of Chiatura Municipality villages, the film crew of Media Holding "Kvira" was attacked by people who were drunk and interfered with their journalistic activities.
According to the journalists, completely unknown persons physically assaulted the cameraman, Sandro Vashakidze, and verbally abused the journalist and the driver.
"We arrived in Chiatura and started collecting materials for the story. We did surveys, recorded people, and when we went to one of the respondents with whom we had agreed in advance, a strangers car followed us. They were increasing speed and imitating as if they were crashing into us. When we arrived at the destination, these strangers suddenly got out of the car and started swearing. We tried to do our job, and when my cameraman Sandro turned on the camera, he was attacked and physically assaulted. They were drunk and quite aggressive," said journalist Anuka Liparishvili.
The victims have already applied to the police regarding the incident. The police interrogated the film crew of Media Holding "Kvira" until late at night.
