The Central Criminal Police Department employees of the Organized Crime Main Division for Combating Trafficking and Illegal Migration arrested S.K., born in 1981, in Batumi.
He is accused of organizing and facilitating the illegal stay of Georgian citizens in a foreign country with the use of forged official documents and obtaining financial benefits.
The offense carries a maximum sentence of 3 to 6 years in prison.
The investigation established that the accused S.K. organized the travel and illegal stay of one of the Georgian citizens abroad through forged documents.
During the detainee's office search, various forged documents and up to GEL 2 500 got seized.
