A pensioner was robbed in the village of Akhalkakhati, Zugdidi Municipality. Rustavi 2 reports that a woman who was beaten lived alone. According to locals, the woman was tied up for almost 20 hours. Only GEL 80 was taken away. The victim, who is in serious condition, is being treated at Zugdidi Referral Hospital.
An investigation has been launched under Article 179, which stipulates robbery. No one has been arrested yet.
