As a result of operative-investigative measures, employees of the Isani-Samgori Main Division of the Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested D.G., born in 1990, convicted in the past, and currently on probation on charges of theft.
According to the Ministry, the crime is punishable by 4 to 7 years in prison.
"On September 10 of 2021, the accused secretly broke into the apartment of a citizen in Varketili, stole various items, and hid from the scene. Police arrested D.G. shortly after the incident, in hot pursuit.
It was also established that the accused secretly broke into several apartments in different districts of Tbilisi and robbed them.
During the search of D.G.'s apartment, the law enforcers seized part of the items stolen by the criminal and presumably a firearm as evidence," the Ministry of Internal Affairs mentions in the information spread.
