A personal database of Georgian voters of 4.9 million people, got posted on the hacker site, with dead citizens included.
The published database contains the voter's personal information - including address, personal number, date of birth, and mobile number.
The publication zdnet released the information regarding the data.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the investigation is ongoing, and the Agency will make additional comments.
"The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia is informed about the news spread in the foreign press. A detailed study of the issue is underway," the ministry said.
As of 2019, 3.7 million citizens are living in Georgia, one-third of which do not vote.
