Law enforcers arrested T.P., born in 1958, for killing a family member in Borjomi on charges of premeditated murder committed under aggravating circumstances. The Ministry of Internal Affairs spreads information about the incident.
"The investigation established that the accused woman had fatally injured her son, I.P., born in 1979, in their house, on the grounds of a dispute, using a cold weapon. The wounded man died on the spot.
The law enforcers seized the weapon of the crime - a knife as evidence," the statement said.
The fact of premeditated murder committed under aggravating circumstances against a family member is being investigated under Article 109, Part 2, Subparagraph "v" of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
The offense carries a maximum sentence of 13 to 17 years in prison.
