Kakheti police opened the fact of wounding in Kvareli. One person has been arrested a few hours after the incident - the Ministry of Internal Affairs spreads information.
The offender faces 7 to 15 years in prison.
"As a result of operative-investigative measures, I.K., born in 1982, was arrested on charges of attempted premeditated murder and illegal purchase, storage, and carrying of a firearm.
The investigation established that on May 5 of 2021, in the village of Akhalsopeli, Kvareli Municipality, the accused argued with his acquaintance - M.P., born in 1982. He shot his acquaintance with an automatic firearm and fled the scene. The injured man was taken to a clinic where he is undergoing treatment.
Police seized automatic firearms as evidence," the ministry said.
