Employees of the Sagarejo District Division of the Kakheti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operative-investigative measures carried out on the hot trail, arrested A.Ch., born in 1978, on charges of attempted premeditated murder.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the crime is punishable by 7 to 15 years in prison.
The investigation established that the accused, during a dispute in the city of Sagarejo, with an acquaintance wounded D.A., born in 1978, using a cold weapon and fled the scene. The injured man was taken to a clinic where he is undergoing treatment.
During the search of the basement of the accused's apartment, the police seized the following evidence: Presumably a Kalashnikov system automatic firearm, with two muzzleloaders and 15 ammunition cartridges, as well as a cartridge for the Makarov system pistol.
The investigation is underway under Article 19-108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which stipulates attempted premeditated murder.
