Anti-corruption Agency of the State Security Service detained Ranger Gocha Ch., employed at the Agency of Protected Areas of the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, on the fact of bribery.

The investigation revealed that Gocha Ch. in exchange for 500 sacks of a fertile layer of land from the Borjomi-Kharagauli Protected Area seized GEL 3500 from a Georgian citizen.

The investigation is in progress (Article 338, part 1 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which means imprisonment from 6 to 9 years).

The investigation is being conducted by the Anti-corruption Agency of the State Security Service.
