Police in Borjomi arrested a young man on charges of violence, threats, and unlawful deprivation of liberty against his ex-wife. The Ministry of Internal Affairs spreads information about the crime.
"The investigation established that 31-year-old Z.D. visited ex-wife I.D. forced her to get into a car, and, against her will, took to the forest located near the village of Dabi. He physically assaulted and threatened her with death," the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
According to the agency, the investigation launched under 11 Prima, Article 143, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, 11 Prima, Article 151, Part 2, Subparagraph "d" and 126 Prima, Part 1 into the facts of unlawful deprivation of liberty, violence, and threats against a family member.
The offense carries a maximum sentence of up to 4 years in prison.
