Policemen in the village of Lajana, Tsageri region have reportedly opened fire at each other. Two police officers have died and one injured in shooting. The injured man has been transported to the hospital. He was attempting to break up a fight between the policemen. As witnesses say, the shooting was preceded by verbal altercation which turned into a violent conflict.
Report.ge has been informed by the Prosecutor's Office that the investigation into the case has been launched under article 108 envisaging deliberate murder crimes.
Archil Japaridze, the Governor of the Racha-Lechkhumi-Kvemo Svaneti region, is going to visit the crime scene to learn specific details.
