“Inspector of the Special Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice has been detained for attempted misappropriation of another's property”, the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance reports.
According to the investigation, the accused convinced a citizen that in exchange for payment of $ 1,500 he could be helpful in the employment process at the Penitentiary Service.
The defendant was arrested while receiving the sum of $ 1,500.
“Investigation is in progress under the Article 19, second part of Article 180, of the Criminal Code of Georgia. The crime is punishable by imprisonment of 4 to 7 years”, reads the report released by the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia.
